Privacy policy

What we do not do

No advertising or tracking cookie is placed on your device. No external analytics tool — no Google Analytics or equivalent — is loaded.

No IP address is stored. Audience measurement counts pages viewed, never tying a visit to a person or a device.

Your information is never sold, rented or traded.

What we keep

Member area: your email and name, to identify and reach you. A session cookie, strictly necessary to the service, keeps you signed in.

Membership: the category, season and status of your membership. Payments are not connected yet; when they are, no card number will pass through or be stored on our servers.

Directory and calendar: the information facilitators ask us to publish.

Audience measurement: the page viewed, the language and the date. These records are deleted after twelve months.

Where your information lives

The database and the site are hosted in Finland, within the European Union, on infrastructure operated for the association. They are replicated nowhere else.

Quebec’s Law 25 allows information to be entrusted outside Quebec where the receiving jurisdiction affords equivalent protection. The European Union does: its General Data Protection Regulation is stricter than Quebec law on several points. This is the association’s deliberate choice — it keeps the data out of reach of US data-access laws, which would apply at most large hosting providers.

Sign-in and information emails are delivered by a sending provider; only your address and the message content are passed on.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your information, and withdraw your consent, by writing to the association.
